Yes. Everyone who uses the library must be 18+ of age, establish a research need that requires the use of The Huntington’s collections, identify specific materials, and present the required form(s) of identification at orientation. Research partners must:

  1. Be prepared to answer the following questions concerning your research:
    • What are the primary goals of your visit and the general focus of your research?
    • What specific items and/or collections do you anticipate working with?
    • Provide the library call numbers for items/collections you wish to review.
  2. Create an account in Aeon, the library's online system.
  3. Request a Library Orientation Appointment.

Be advised: The library can accommodate a maximum of four people in a research group visit.
